I discovered my passion for motivational speaking in 1995 when I was invited to speak at an inner-city high school in Atlanta for career day. I quickly realized the power of encouragement and mentoring. Over the years, I expanded into mentoring and speaking regularly in the inner-city school system in Atlanta. I also joined the Junior Achievement Program that helps mentor youth in areas of career placement in the school systems throughout the Atlanta Public School System.
I am also an active mentor and facilitator/speaker at my church. Here I am involved in our marriage ministry and our Anchor ministry which is a drug and alcohol recovery-friendly ministry. I’ve been an active facilitator and mentor in both of these ministries for the past 5 years. Each week in our recovery class we discuss topics from the bible that are related to recovery. The group consists of about 25 to 30 young men at various stages in their recovery. This particular ministry has given new meaning to my life in particular. When asked by a very close friend of mine to be a part of this ministry group as a facilitator, I was very nervous. I had never done speaking like that before. The guys in the group have taught me more than I could ever know on my own. My biggest takeaway from this ministry is that we are all in recovery from something! Your first step to change is admitting your weaknesses!

In our marriage ministry, my wife and I are active and intentional in mentoring and coaching couples one-to-one in various stages of their marriage. We enjoy the bonds that are created through sometimes having and sharing in tough but loving conversations with couples. We are blessed in that we get to share our life experiences (both highs and lows) with couples who are just beginning their lives together and growing a family. I also mentor and coach young men who are either in the process of getting married, newly married, or navigating through a growing season in their relationship with a friend, family member, or just on their own. ( In other words, growing through a hard time).
yes you can!
And I am here to help. No matter the obstacle or goal, we can work on it together. It all starts with an email and your life can change.
